No, not necessarily, since viruses can be 'invited in' by unsuspecting users of web sites, email links, etc. A firewall definitely helps, but will not prevent, in all cases a virus running in a network.
Firewall
The primary objective of a firewall is to protect the computer and its network from unwanted intrusions. These intrusions can include viruses and hackers.
A firewall is something that protects your computer from viruses--a barrier between your computer and where the viruses come from. A firewall can be hardware, software or a combination. A firewall is generally a network security device or software that actively monitors incoming and outgoing network traffic. It can either allow or block certain traffic based on a defined set of internet security protocols. A firewall acts as a barrier that limits the damages from internal and external cyber attacks. The firewall can be broadly divided into host-based and network-based. A host-based firewall is normally installed on individual servers and monitors incoming and outgoing network signals. A network-based firewall is established in the cloud's infrastructure or it can be a virtual firewall service.
In computer speak it is called an "ad hoc" network system.
Here are the top security measures. 1. Firewall 2. Antivirus 3.Network security Firewall: Firewall acts as a barrier and protects your system from external threats. Best firewall software would be Comodo personal firewall(personalfirewall.comodo.com). Antivirus : Antivirus software searches for, detects, prevents and remove software viruses, and other malicious software Network security: Network security is a combination of antivirus and firewall created with an aim to give complete protection from every side.
by, installing the antiviruse,.
A strong, properly configured firewall eliminates viruses. Trojans and viruses sneak in and harm your computer when the firewall isn't set up properly.
Please tell me that ........ Types of viruses by internet network?"
Installation of a firewall can give a false sense of security, because many users do not understand the limitations of a firewall. Specifically, a firewall primarily defends against unsolicited incoming attacks: a hacker tries to access the internal network from the outside. Firewalls often fail to effectively protect from threats from the inside: viruses (malware of all sorts, worms, etc), once active on the inside, may be able to spread within the network, and spawn network activity that traverses the firewall in both directions.
companies need a firewall to protect their sites from being hacked, not get viruses and from popups.Im not quite sure but i hope it helped.thank you! bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!companies need firewalls for(1) Protection from vulnerable services(2)Controlled access to the site systems(3)Concentrated security(4)Enhanced privacy(5)Logging and statistics of network use ,misuse(6)Policy enforcementJoan Mbatudde
Firewall don't stop viruses it just keep ypu computer safe... I mean when you run program, firewall will ask you if you let this program to run or not... When virus try to run program secretly when you will not notice the program, but firewalll will tell you that some kind of program is runned, so you may block it and that will stp the virus. only the antivirus software on stops the viruses.
