American Military University is one of two Universities under the banner of the American Public University System (the other being American Public University). Therefore they are accredited and legitimate.

AMU is both regionally and nationally accredited and is very widely accepted by other higher learning institutions, the government, companies such as Lockheed Martin, Coca-Cola & Accenture. AMU students are given the opportunity to learn from industry professionals and can directly apply their skills within their lines of work.
