I'm not sure if he is the youngest or not, but he's only a few years over the required age (35). He's like 40 or 41. I believe John F. Kennedy was the youngest president ever elected at 43. Barack Obama was born in August, 1961, making him 47 years old at time of election. Very young to be president, but not as young as Kennedy. Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest president at age 42. He was vice-president and sworn in when Mckinley was shot. Teddy Roosevelt became president after McKinley died in office and he being vice-president took over the job as president at 42, but was not ELECTED president until the next election a few years later. He was older than 43 when elected. So yes Roosevelt was the youngest serving president, but not the youngest ELECTED. Theadore Rossevelt was 42 and barak Obama is 47 making him the 6th or 7th youngest.
