Great Britain is home to Scotland, England and Wales.

Ireland is home to the Republic of Ireland (AKA Ireland) and Northern Ireland.

Not exactly. England is part of Britain. The other two parts are Scotland and Wales. If you add Northern Ireland, the country then gets its full name of 'The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'.

The other parts are Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland. Great Britain specifically refers to the island that has England, Scotland and Wales on it. Northern Ireland is on the island of Ireland, and so is not part of Great Britain.
