No one can be sure about this subject. It all depends on what you believe. A Christian obviously thinks that Christianity is the truth, but a Hindu or Muslim would think that it is not true. The fact is that Christianity can be neither proved nor disporved by any means we have today. All we have to tell the truth are ancient texts that have been translated over and over again.

Depends who you ask. Christians do not believe it is a lie, while non-Christians do not believe Christianity to be the truth.

Just depends on what you believe in.

people do not know if Christianity is a lie

* * * * *

I agree. Some people think that they know that it is true; and others think that they know that it is false. But no one can possibly know whether it is true or false. That is precisely why Christians speak of faith.

*******

Christianity is a faith-based belief, just like every other religion. While not exactly right for some, many people require it to survive in the everyday world. Granted, the fervent following of this religion-and many others as well-has led to atrocities; but faith is something most humans need, though it's not always faith in a higher being.

Some believe The Bible to be a complete work of fiction, other see it as a way to live their lives following the teachings of their Lord. And while not all agree, we must respect that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Christianity is not a lie to those that require it. They see it as their salvation and their true path in life.

Answer:

Quite a lot of modern professing Christianity, as an accepted religion in the world today, is indeed an apostasy from its early beginnings in the first two or three centuries after Christ's ascension into heaven.

But, then... that was the very first thing Jesus warns us to beware of in the last days:

"...'Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, claiming, ''I am Christ,'' and will deceive many." (Matt.24:4-5 NIV)

Biblically speaking... it may be safely assumed that all of the "religions" that this world accepts, tolerates and practice are those whom the god of this world has designed and deceived man into bowing down to [even the "religion of atheism"... those who "believe" that there is no God].

Jesus tells us straight out that THIS [Satan's] WORLD HATES HIM... because it hates the Truth!

"...it hates Me because I testify that what it does is evil." (John 7:7 NIV)

"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first." (John 15:18 NIV)

But, there is still a small fraction of "Christianity" [a 'little flock' - Luke 12:32]that still follows the Truth of God's Word that isn't part of the modern lies and the adopted and adapted ancient pagan religious customs and traditions that many deceived people accept today as Truth and acceptable to God.

With literally hundreds of denominations of modern professing Christianity from which people may pick and choose to settle on the Jesus they like best... one would think the deception would be more obvious than it is. But, then.... that's the nature and beauty of "deception." A deceived person doesn't know that he's deceived.

The bottom line is that God is calling His elect out of the world to reveal and to know His Truth and to see through this world's lies, while the majority of the world remains under the Serpent's cloud of deceit [see Rev.12:9].

But, yes... along with all the other lies in this world that man believes through both "self-deception" as well as the deceptions of Satan -- religious and secular -- much of modern professing Christianity, too, is a lie that has its following.

That's the nature of lies and deception, however. You just don't find too many people who freely admit that they believe all the wrong things -- or to being wrong at all about anything.
No I do not because it is not, Jesus is real and so is God so please keep your opinions to yourself

No, Islam is, because Islam will take you to heaven, not hell, but whereas if you're a Christian, then you will burn in hell, so if you're Christian, change and be a Muslim, so you can go to heaven!!

The controversy rages on.

Scientists do not consider religion a topic of scientific inquiry, so they do not seek to answer the question of whether Christianity, or any other religion, has a scientific basis. However, we can make some basic observations and leave it to the inquirer to form any conclusion:

  • There is no evidence for the existence of God. This observation neither proves nor disproves his existence, which would be outside the realm of science.
  • The world is unquestionably billions of years old, and modern humans have been on earth for around two hundred thousand years. Compare this to the biblical account of Adam and Eve, apparently created around six thousand years ago.
  • The science of Archaeology is uncovering evidence that much of the Old Testament account is not literally true. The question then is whether the reader believes that Christianity is fundamentally dependent on the literal truth of the Bible.
