not yet......here's an email response I received March 17th after emailing him via his website. It's a bit canned, but a thought out response from Dean nonetheless... Can't wait for # 3 myself! ____ Thank you for emailing me. I am overjoyed and overwhelmed by the letters and emails sent by readers, but appreciate the questions, kind words, and stories they contain. This has to be the question you get most often. Frankenstein three, where is it? Let me respond by sharing the answer I included recently on my video blog for barnesandnoble.com: I know you're going to show up at my door with pitchforks and torches any time soon. I truly expected to have these books come out bang, bang, bang one after the other. They were supposed to be collaborated efforts and my two collaborators on the first books did their jobs, they didn't do anything wrong, except I discovered another character flaw in myself-it's a very long list, I found that I can't collaborate. And I would get my collaborators first draft and I was supposed to write drafts two, three, four and whatever and even though I had given them the story idea to begin with, I discovered that when I was reading it I thought of a new way to go. I thought of a new first chapter, for Prodigal Son, I thought of a new first chapter for the second book in the series and once I wrote the new first chapter I was off somewhere where the collaborators had not gone and I couldn't stop I couldn't go back and I just wrote the books myself. So it didn't seem to make any sense to have a collaborator for the third, this caused a timing problem I have other obligations, other books to write and I had to move on to those books and get them done. I am working on the third FRANKENSTEIN, it is nearly finished and it will be out before you have forgotten what the first two were about, I promise.
