Yes like any other country, Germany can experience extreme cold fases in the winter. Temperatures can drop to -23°degrees as was in the winter of 2011.The lowest ever rekorded temperature in germany was rekorded at the Funtensee with - 42°, but that doesnt happen often. Some winters can be very mild without any inch of snow.
