No, Ireland is still separated by the border. So there is the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. But now the North and the South have a closer relationship than they've had before and both countries are now well modernised especially Belfast as it has changed a lot for the better! basically the North is a part of The United Kingdom not Great Britain as GB is Scotland, England and Wales not Northern Ireland!! people get this incorrect quite a lot! Fact: Northern Irish people are the only ones in the UK that consider themselves and call themselves British! As all the other member countries say their own nationality like Scottish, English and Welsh.
