He talks a lot as for leadership we wont know until he gets another term in office.

Given that his popularity rating is low, it is debateable whether he is a good leader.

In his favour, he is diplomatic in his relations with other countries.

However, in his attempts to shore up Australia during the economic crisis, he has managed to strip away the financial surplus built up by the previous government, and is now sending the country into debt.

It has also recently emerged that, in his period of just over two years in office, he has shown himself to be a very demanding and difficult leader to work under, as over 260 staff have walked out on him in that time.

From December 2007 until June 2010, Kevin Rudd was the Prime Minster of Australia. He was removed from office on 24 June 2010, and replaced by his former Deputy PM, Julia Gillard.

At the time when Kevin Rudd lost his position as Prime Minister, he had lost considerable favour with both his party and the people of Australia. Initially very popular, he had made a few poor choices along the way, and lost some of his following, except within his own electorate in Queensland.

That is currently a matter of some debate. There is voter discontent over how much time Kevin Rudd is spending overseas, rather than within his own country. There are also concerns about how he intends to ride out the worldwide economic recession, by going "into the red", after John Howard's ministry enabled a budget surplus for many years.
