King George III was married to Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (Born: 19 May 1744 in Mirow, Germany Dead: 17 November 1818 in Kew Palace, London) they married on 8 September 1761 at the Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace, London. Together with George III Charlotte had 15 children: King George IV of Hanover and the United Kingdom(12 August 1762 - 26 June 1830), The Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany (16 August 1763-5 January 1827), King William VI of Hanover and the Uited Kingdom (21 August 1765 - 20 June 1837), Queen Charlotte of Württemberg (29 September 1766 - 5 October 1828), Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn (2 November 1767 - 23 January 1820), Princess Augusta Sophia (8 November 1768 - 22 September 1840), Landgravine Elizabeth of Hesse-Homburg (22 May 1770 - 10 January 1840), King Ernest Augustus I of Hanover (5 June 1771 - 18 November 1851), Prince Augustus Frederick, Duke of Sussex (27 January 1773 - 21 April 1843), Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge (24 February 1774 - 8 July 1850), Princess Mary, Duchess of Gloucester and Edinburgh (25 April 1776 - 30 April 1857), Princess Sophia (2 November 1777 - 27 May 1848), Prince Octavius (23 February 1779 - 3 May 1783), Prince Alfred (22 September 1780 - 20 August 1782), and Princess Amelia (7 August 1783 - 2 November 1810). Charlotte died in 1818 by which time George III was blind, deaf, lame and insane, it is unlikely he even knew of the death of his Wife of 57 years. 14 months after Charlotte's death George III died, Charlotte and George III are buried side by side in the royal vault at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
