No place on earth is truly 'earthquake free.' Manitoba, however, is certainly not located in what might be called a high risk area. Of course, neither is Toronto, yet we have felt a few minor earthquakes over the years. But none caused any damage worthy of note. The US Geological Survey has lots of information about earthquakes. The last earthquake to affect Manitoba was in May of 1909. Although it's origin was never confirmed, it was thought to be from a small fault in Montana although there are some very small faults in Saskatchewan. The quake affected Saskatchewan more so than Manitoba, however was still very much felt here in Manitoba.

There are earthquakes everywhere, but mostly by faultlines.
Manitoba is not part of a territory. Manitoba is its own province.
They are rebuilding schools, factories and buildings. They are sending free food, free shelter, free medical facilities and free education.
