∙ 13y agoIt is an emerging market and and a regional power. It has a fairly decent economy and military, but hasn't been involved on foreign conflicts for some 65 years (since World War 2). It has a "soft power" approach for diplomacy, and has actively pursuing free trade agreements with many countries, including the United States, Canada, the European Union and Japan.
