There has not been a King or Queen of England (or Scotland) since 1707.

In that year, the crowns of England and Scotland were united and the Monarch (Queen Anne) became Queen of The United Kingdom of Great Britain.

Historically, Scotland had its own monarchy, which merged with the English monarchy to create the United Kingdom. The current devolved government in Scotland, as well as the unrealized proposals for an independent Scotland, have Scotland as a republic without any monarchs.
