Visual studio is a collection of different language compiler, whereas visual basic is just a single language.
Visual studio express edition can be downloaded from www.microsoft.com/express A visual basic programmer uses visual studio to write and compile visual basic programs.
Visual Basic Controls work on Visual Studio for Visual Basic and Applications that made by Visual Basic.
I believe visual studio is the user interface, and it not only supports visual basic but also visual c++, c#, web development etc. Visual basic, on the other hand, is a programming language.
You said Visual Studio 2010 but does it have the BASIC language.
Visual studio 2010 supports 5 programming languages. These are Visual Basic, Visual C#, Visual C++, Visual F# and JScript.

Unfortunately, you can not use Visual Studio to edit Java. Visual Studio can be used to program: Visual Basic C# C++ ASP.NET Anyways to program Java you can use other programs as Eclipse for Java Developers
Visual Studio .Net is the programming tool used to create .Net applications. When you create a .Net application, you can do it in a number of different programming languages, one of which is Visual Basic .Net.

Visual Studio: A program created by Microsoft used by developers to code and design programs in many different computer languages. The current public version is Visual Studio 2010 (FREE in Express edition) and the current BETA version for Windows 8 is Visual Studio 2011 (Only available to Microsoft developers as of 9/20/2011) Visual Basic: One of the available languages to program in for PC developers. Visual Basic is a very high-level language and is sometimes referred to as VB or VB.NET... this is my personal favorite language
There is no difference. Microsoft Visual Basic and Visual Basic are the same thing. Visual Basic is a language that was developed by Microsoft. There is however a difference between Visual Basic and Visual Basic .NET (Now known as just Visual Basic and VB.Net). VB.Net is basically Visual Basic, the only difference is that VB.Net supports the Microsoft .NET Framework.

There is however a difference between Visual Basic and Visual Basic .NET (Now known as just Visual Basic and VB.Net). VB.Net is basically Visual Basic, the only difference is that VB.Net supports the Microsoft .NET Framework. There is a similar language, called BASIC, from which Visual Basic was derived.
VB.NET is just Visual Basic implemented onto Microsoft's .NET Framework, both being Microsoft languages. While Visual Basic is part of Visual Studio, VB.NET is also part of the Visual Studio.NET release. Development of Visual Basic stopped at version 6, and VB.NET simultaneously was born at version 7.
Visual Basic (VB) is a programming language. Visual Studio is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that supports software development in many programming languages, including VB.
The latest version of Visual Studio is Visual Studio 2008 (v9.0).
Microsoft Visual Studio comes with Visual Basic,Visual C++ etc.You can use them to create programs.
Same thing, but different names :)
It isn't. Visual Basic is a programming language. Visual Studio is the IDE (integrated development environment). The Visual Studio IDE can be used to write programs in other languages besides Visual Basic, including Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual F, JavaScript and Python. The IDE provides all the tools you need to write programs in any of these languages but can be customised to support others. The languages available depend upon which languages you have installed or added to the IDE.
2008. I have vista and 2008 works fine. also, visual studio too. 2008 is the best option.
Once you have the Visual Studio program open, go to File->New Project and select the language you want to write your program in. If one or more languages do not appear, you probably didn't choose to have them installed when you installed Visual Studio.
microsoft visual studio is one. they use programming languages such as c# and visual basic.
basic is a general purpose, high level programming language. and the same is with the visual basic. but the main difference is that, the earlier basic was the dos version language. whereas the visual basic programming language is the language which is not DOS based. but the simplicity in the language remains the same as in basic.

Studio consists of C#, VisualJ, etc. Visual Basic is the predefined function of the VB6 environment. if you want to code in VB strictly, download VB6, but if you want to use C#, etc. than use VS6. But by now, I recommend upgrading to VS2008
Microsoft Visual Basic is a program that you can make your own applications in it and you can download Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition at Microsoft.comA very high-level and easy to use programming language for PC ONLY.
