Not so. Volvos are still designed in Sweden and larger models XC90 XC 70 V70 S80, S60 are all built in Sweden near Gothenburg. Other models are built in Belgium at the former DAF plant in Ghent. Ford have now sold Volvo to the Chinese Company Geely.
