Just do basic maintenance and smooth driving and you should get a long life out of it. It's not terribly amazing on gas because of it's weight, but it's built like a war tank; it's very solid. It's pretty much a two seater, very little room in the back but it's very, very comfortable in the front. It looks nice but the stock wing looks ugly. Other than that, it's not a bad little car.
No, if the timing belt brakes bad things can happen.
bad temp senseor.
bad ignition coil, bad ignitor
Yes, they are interchangeable, but if you plan to put a 95 motor in a 92, do not do it. The 7bolt motors experience crankwalk, which is bad. But if you're putting a 92 motor in a 95, go for it! I just finished putting a 91 motor in my 95. It's quite a bit of work, and you have to know what you're doing. There are plenty of guides out there for a 6bolt swap.
Bad transmission if auto Bad clutch if std.
== == How many miles? Automatic or Manual? Does it have all of it's service papers? Was it kept up (i.e. regular oil changes, tune ups)? Has it ever been in a wreck? If so, how bad was it and what was replaced? How does the exterior and interior look? Has there been any major repairs on the car? Is it an ESI, TSI or a TSI (AWD)? These all factor into whether or not you are getting a good deal. The Kelly Blue Book Value on a 1995 Talon ESI Coupe (most common) in mint condition with 100,000 miles on it with standard equipment (Air, Power steering, tilt wheel, am/fm stereo, dual front airbags) and I'm adding on some other options (power locks and windows, cruise control, cassette, sliding sun roof and rear spoiler) is $2875 private party value.
I had the same issues with my 1995 eagle talon and if you have the battery unhooked, the car takes up to 40 or so miles for everything to reset, ie, air fuel mixture, computer, etc. It gets better the more miles you drive it after it has been unhooked. Also, I had issues with my o2 sensor going bad which caused some hesitation.
Possible your ignition coil is going bad. Is it only when the car is warm?
Nuetral safety switch could be bad or the wires to it are busted off , or timing is off
Sounds like you idle sincere is bad try replacing it and see what happens.
It is quite possible that your clutch is not disengaging the transmission from the motor. Also, your synchros could be bad, which would not allow it to go into gear.
If when applying the brakes ,roorts. If when driving only a bad tire.
