Most tires are measures by the rim size needed to mount it
so a 14 inch tire is relative to the rim.
then notice the other measurements on the tire...
like.. my car... 255 50 16...
FIRST
255 is the width.. i assume in Millitimeters... = 25.5 Centimeters... = about 10 inches.
MIDDLE
50 is the height in PERCENT of the width ( 255 in this case) soo
tire~sidewall = one half of 255 = 127.5 about 5 inches..
LAST number
16 rim size. in inches... = Diameter While the rim is on the car, measure across rim from top to bottm.
HOPE this helps..
in short...
Yes it is much smaller in the center.. and will not fit your project, without buying a new rim.
BEST REGARDS.
No, the rim for cars is always smaller than the actual tire. For a 20 inch rim you would need a 22inch tire in order for it to fit right.
Smaller. A 20 inch tire will rotate (and add miles) more than a 25 inch tire as it covers the same distance.
what is the weight of an twenty inch tire
If you want to replace the current tires on your vehicle with a 17 inch tire you will have to have the proper rims for that tire. If you currently have rims for a 17 inch tire then you would not have to replace them but if your tire rims are smaller or larger then they would have to be replaced.
No way, 9.5 is smaller then 10 so it will not fit.
Depends on your wheel size.
yes smaller profile tire
The smaller dimension of the donut spare tire requires more inflation than a standard tire. The correct amount of inflation for a donut spare is 60psi.
NO. The tire is an inch bigger around than the rim....
Yes, the smaller the aspect ratio the wider the tire.
it is actually smaller
Depends on vehicle and proper size of tire (which you have chosen not to give )
