yes the internal parts are the same but to go from 4 wheel to 2 wheel may require the rear tail shaft or output shaft to be changed

If they are the same size, of course.
46re
You need the same one it has currently. The engine size, two or four wheel drive both make a difference.
Yes if they are the proper size and have the same bolt pattern.
I have a 1998 Chevy Tahoe 2 wheel drive and I need to know if the transmission is a 4L60 or 4L80
V8 auto would be a 46rh
YES !!! wheel rims must be the same size and tyres must be the same profile, even three new tyres with one badly worn tyre will affect the center transmission drive gears (4wd) all drive wheels must be the same size (4wd or 2wd)
A little more information please : ( model year , engine size , 4X4 or rear wheel drive or all wheel drive, automatic or manual transmission )
Depends on front wheel or rear wheel drive, if it is Front wheel drive it is under the shift linkage on top of the transmission, have someone shift the car while you look under the hood, if it is rear wheel drive it is one of two places, either at the bottom of the steering column or on the side of the transmission that one looks like a cigarette lighter (that size)
Yes but but they should be the same size and type.
If it's a 1/2 ton it will be the 4L60E transmission. 3/4 tons used the 4L80E in them.
That would depend on your engine size ( 2.3 liter 4 cylinder , 3.0 or 4.0 liter V6 ) automatic or manual transmission , 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive etc.
