Deciding between these two cars really depends on what your looking for and what amenities are important to you. The Mazda generally has beter mileage but the Honda Civic is consistently seen as reliable and having a good resale value. I would personally prefer a Mazda Protege because unless you have the funds to purchase a Honda with model upgrades.
The Mazda Protege is a smaller, lighter car that gets better fuel economy and costs less than the 626. Competitors include the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, etc. The Mazda 626 is a larger, heavier car that has more room inside and more features than the Protege. Competitors include the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, etc.
the lug pattern is 4x100 so cars like Mazda protege and Honda civic
You are comparing apples to oranges. You should be comparing the Mazda 6 with the Accord. The Mazda 3 competes with the Honda Civic. In either case my recommendation would be to go with Honda. The Accord and the Civic are almost always tops in their class.
I believe it is 4x100. Most civic and corolla wheels should fit.
