Rarely, Brake liight bulbs generally have two filaments. Backups generally have one.

The brake light can be access through the trunk compartment. Take hold of the light bulb connector, turn and push in at the same time.
There are two screws under the back dash that need to be removed to lift the assembly off the back dash. I had a problem with the same car. No brake lights at all. I disconnected the power to the third light and the main two brake lights started to work. There must be a short in the third brake light harness.
A few posibilities are. the bulbs have blown, although the side and brake light bulbs are the same bulb, they use separate filiments, The fuse has blown or the brake light switch is faulty.
