Unable to answer specifically, but more than likely not. You will have to contact the Pennsylvania State Bar Association to determine the OFFICIAL answer to this question.
This answer is not entirely accurate. The ABA is generally more interested in your ability to be frank and candid, rather than any misgivings you might have in your past. If you were admitted to law school, the school likely believes that the event happened sufficiently long ago or there is some reason that it could be "explained."
Also, the ABA may impose certain rehabilitative requirements on you (such as counseling, drug testing, as appropriate, etc.) or you may be given a probation period.
There is a story of a FL lawyer who had been convicted of something like 28 crimes and he was admitted to the Bar and is an attorney in good standing.
Personally, I admit that I am not familiar with PA, but I seriously doubt it. If the attorney's background as a convicted felon was ever to be revealed (and you can be certain that it WOULD be revealed) his credibility wouuld be finished.
can a convicted felon have any form of protection for his home in pennsylvania?
they were not allowed to practice law
A convicted felon would not be able to practice law in Virginia or in any other state. An attorney would probably not choose to commit a felony to begin with.
See link below.
No. A felon may not, in accordance with federal law, purchase, possess, or be allowed access to firearms.
I am a felon on probation ,am I allowed to visit my mother in HUD apartments or am I not allowed on the property
No, a convicted felon is not allowed, by law, to work at a business that deals in firearms.
Yes they are
A felon may not own, possess, or be allowed access to firearms ANYWHERE in the United States, as per federal law.
I was told by a member of the Va bar association that a felon does have the right to practice law in Va but you mus go before the board in order to be cleared to do so. You must prove that you are rehabilitated and a worthy person of practicing law. If they give you the nod, then yes. I do not know how difficult it it to get approval but it a shot.
you cannot practice law as a convicted felon.
Yes, a felon can be in a car with a licensed gun carrier, but the felon is not allowed to access the gun. The law states that the felon may not own or possess the gun.
