A deer is faster. over short distances. However, a kangaroo is able to keep up a sustained, high speed for far longer than any of the animals which rely on four legs for running.
Kangaroos have powerful hind legs ideal for speedy bounding. Kangaroos have large, strong tendons in their hind legs which act as "springs". The springing motion requires less energy than running does, so kangaroos are able to bound for longer distances than other mammals with the standard four legs can run. Their strong back legs and elongated hind feet enable them to bound. Kangaroos are able to travel long distances at a high speed, expending very little energy. They are very energy-efficient, and this is linked directly to the physical action of bringing their hind legs up with each hop. Every hop literally refills the lungs.
yes. why?
Well I think that deer is for the plural AND singular.Sounds right though...
hawk is faster than a deer
about a year faster
A group of deer is called a 'herd' or a 'mob' of deer. Depending on where you live one may be more commonly used than the other.
All types of female deer are called does. Only the female moose (which is the largest deer in the world) is called a cow.
Kangaroos can be male or female. That is how they reproduce.
Male and Female. It's bull and heifer for a cow. For a moose it's bull and sow. For a deer it's buck and doe. Sorry not much of a help. Maybe Someone else can help you more than I can.
I would say that a gazell would run faster than a deer because deer when they run they don't really push there legs as hard. Now gazelles they really push there legs because when a bigger animal tries to chase the gazell it would run faster wouldn't you?
Slightly smaller than a whitetail deer. Probably about 90-100 pounds for an average buck.
because the stag mates with more than one female deer
Yes, twins are very common.
If the father and mother are deer, the mother would be called a doe and the offspring would be called fawns, but the answer might be different for species other than deer.
