Each extended-release tablet for once a day oral administration contains 18, 27, 36, or 54 mg of methylphenidate HC1 USP and is designed to have a 12-hour duration of effect. So be a little more care full with when you chew them up.
Short answer: Adderall is an amphetamine, just like the good stuff methamphetamine; Concerta is not, the effects of are more or less like taking alot of cocaine, that's if you take an upwards of 108 mg. at a time while braking them in half. But please do not take my advise on the Concerta, for it last A LOOOONNNGGGG TIME. Even broken in half.

This means that it has a mixture of the left-handed (levo-) amphetamine and the right-handed (dextro-) amphetamine molecules. While dextroamphetamine has about twice the binding affinity to dopamine and norepinephrine receptors than levoamphetamine, both molecules displace catecholamines from neural vesicles at about the same rate...and that is the primary action of amphetamine in the body.
