A "Sunni" Muslim is one who follows the Sunnah (the example) of Prophet Muhammad. Now since Muhammad never allowed terrorism (he only fought when there was no choice, and he only fought against enemy soldiers, and never ever against civilians) then they clearly violate the Sunnah - completely.
