On a motor 4- bolt or 2-bolt refers to how many bolts are on the main cap what holds the crack. when it comes down to it if your not putting a supercharger on the motor or making to a performers engine, you don't really need a 4-bolt main
An 89 would probably have the dipstick below #6. It would most likely be a 4 bolt main, but not guaranteed.
you need a casting number some have thicker walls 2bolt vrs 4bolt mains ect.
On a 4 bolt block, the three center main caps are held on by 4 bolts instead of 2.
19'
driver's side, through the block.
can be both ,i have a 350 010 2bolt main
Anything before 1987.
Older engines have the dipstick on the driver's side. There is a hole in the side of the block between 5 & 7. Newer ones have the dipstick tube in the passenger side of the oil pan.
It sits in a tube sticking out of the left side of the block between #5 & #7 cylinders.

it should go in threw the head on the driver side but some go in threw the block on the passenger side
the new block has a two piece rear main seal and the oil dipstick is on the passenger side other than that yes reuse the crank and oil pan and everything else is interchangeable
For a 95 Corsica 3.1L V6, presuming you never had to replace them for any reason. The dipstick for oil is yellow in color and should be near the engine block itself. Dipstick for power steering fluid is red in color and is closer to the back under the hood on the drivers side.
