I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan with 103,XXX miles. We just paid $1,728 to have the transmission completely rebuilt. Our transmission started whining and shifting hard from time to time about a month ago. I first had the Transmission Fluid and filter changed, thinking the filter might be clogged. The van was whining only once or twice a week in the beginning, but soon started doing it more often. It mostly made the noise when we were driving around town making frequent stops and starts. After taking the transmission apart, the shop found the front bearing was wore and the overdrive clutch hub was shot. They put in a complete overhaul kit, new clutches, bearing kit, and a total of 5 or 6 updates to fix common factory problems with this transmission. The updates will supposedly make this transmission better than it was from the factory. Time will tell.
your transmission is having problems by the sound of it. go to a transmission shop.
yes i have that problem all the times the bushing in the ditributor goes bad real quickly
go to another mechanic.i can not see how a transmission problem would have anything at all to do with your dashboard.your mechanic obviously has no clue
I do not see why anyone should have a problem with that.I do not see why anyone should have a problem with that.I do not see why anyone should have a problem with that.I do not see why anyone should have a problem with that.
3rd gear is gone or you put lucos in you transmission fluied to stop the grears from slipping your best bet is to find out if anyone is having a deal to look at transmission such as amoco
Yes, you have to properly bleed the pump per the instructions
1st tell the problem!
we have a 2000 astro van that has been slipping, wants to die, and the repair for it is a new torq converter on the transmission, actually a rebuild on the transmission because of the torq converter. rather expensive repair.
Anyone can if they have enough good credit. Relationship to you has no bearing.
Of course not. Now stop whining, and listen to your parents.
Yes,they all had electrical problems. 1,the engine ecu 2,the radio controls on the steering wheel 3,the transmission shift program
Both codes indicate a problem within the Transmission Control Module or TCM. Take it to a transmission shop, they can pull any additional code from the TCM.
