It is always far better to give than to receive ... works both ways though - you will always get back what you put into it ... love is magic in that respect and takes two actively working hard towards this to keep it cultivated.

∙ 16y agoFor fulfillment, its best to do both, however, as we all know, life is so much more complicated than this. Relationships fall apart and feelings change, but the truly selfless person just loves and never expects anything back. My dad used to always tell me to stop spending time wasting time. And it's true life is so short and is a twisted journey. So don't worry it being better to be loved, just go, love. It'll come back to you. Life has a funny way of working these things out. Smile.
