you want juice in your chicken breast, a good wayto check, is cutting into the middle, if it is white it is done, if you see pink you need to keep cooking it. When the center is white it is done. That's how you tell by eye.

How Long do I cook a turkey breast breast?

It's 20 minutes per pound. You could fry the chick, salt, pepper and cook until golden brown, lower heat and put a lid on the pan. When the juices run clear and are not pink then the chicken is done. i do not believe in this anser it is more like 40 minutes per pound and when the juoces run pink its not done it should be when you like the color of the juice........ red juce is medium rare pink juice is rare and clear juice is over easy..... hope that helped!!!! You can't eat rare or medium rare poultry unless you like being sick. Poultry has to be cooked well done. And 20 minutes per pound is a good average. But you should always check the temperature. The breast should reach 160 internally. 20 Minutes Per Pound on 325 F 116 C

How long do you have to bake bone in chicken breasts?

Spilt Chicken breasts are the most common form in stores. Here is my suggestion based on much practice. I usually start them out at 425 for about 15 mins. drop the temperature to 325 and cook for another 35 to 40 mins. There is no exact answer as ovens and the size of the chicken breast both vary widely. The best way to tell is to get an instant read thermometer jam it into the middle of the breast after about 30 mins. If you get 160 degrees you are done. Pull them out cover them with foil for about 10 mins. and you are done.

Why is breast senction often dry when roasting a chicken?

I avoid this issue by basting a roasted chicken every 1/2 hour during cooking. I use a roasting chart to judge how long to cook & I also use an instant read thermometer to test the temp, starting about an hour before I think the chicken ought to be done. During basting, esp about 1/2 through cooking time, I look to see if the breast is getting too brown, if so, then I put a foil tent over it to prevent overcooking of the breast. I do this same method for turkey at the Holidays & have had success every time! Good luck! Also, when the roast chicken is done & taken out of the oven, let it rest for about 20 minutes prior to carving. This will redistribute the juices throughout the bird, making for a juicer chicken.

Where can one find recipe ideas for stuffed chicken breast?

You need to wrap the chicken breast in wax paper and pound it thin. You can use a can of veggies to pound it, or use the flat side of a meat mallet. Then you take whatever you want to stuff it with and put it on one side of the chicken. Roll it up and bake it. You can mix Stovetop stuffing with some veggies and butter to put inside the chicken, then use a can of cream of chicken soup to pour over the rolled chicken breast while you bake it in a 9x13 in. dish. You can bake it on 350 for an hour, or 425-450 for 30 minutes or until the chicken looks done to you. The chicken is done when it reaches 170 degrees, but I always just check to make sure that the meat is white.

How long do i bake chicken breasts at 350 degrees?

A baked chicken breast should be done in 30 - 45 minutes at 350 degrees F. To test for doneness, poke a thick part of the meat with a sharp knife or fork. If the juices run pink, cook longer. If the juices run out clear, the chicken should be done.

What is Spatchcock chicken?

A spatchcock chicken can be any age, but it should not be too young as it will not have developed good breast meat. Also, if it is too old, say more than six months, the meat may be tough and taste very gamey. Spatchcocking is not related to age, but is merely a method of cooking chicken. It is done by cutting the chicken open along the backbone so that the chicken can be flattened out for cooking.
