you should call and found out then let us know While most Quick Service Restaurants are open every day of the week for the convenience of their customers who might wish to dine there on their own time off from work, certain chains observe specific holidays. It is traditional for most restaurant chains to be closed on national holidays and major religious holidays (such as Christmas and New Years in the United States).

Some chains are closed on other days as well. Take for example Chick-fil-A, a restaurant chain centered around the Southern states in the United States of America. The restaurant chain was founded and is owned as a private corporation by S. Truett Cathy, who is a devout Southern Baptist. In keeping with his religious beliefs all Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.

Similarly, Chuck E. Cheese was founded by Nolan Bushnell, who also founded Atari. It was traditional in the early days of Atari, Inc. for the entire staff to take the day off on Thursdays to play the latest titles that other employees or third parties had been working on, with the intention of improving morale. Later, this tradition was continued when Bushnell founded Chuck E. Cheese and today it survives in the form of Chuck E. Cheese restaurants/arcades being closed on Thursdays except for special pre-planned events and banquets.

In summary, because this coming Thursday is New Year's Day 2009 most chain restaurants would be closed, and this would be the case for Chuck E. Cheese as well even if it were not New Year's Day, as they are generally always closed on Thursdays.
