some are temporary some are long term. I have anorexia and at this point in my treatment, I'm not sure if I'll ever get better. For others, weight might be restored but thoughts will never go away. (ex. "maybe i really shouldn't eat that after all" "i'm fat" "I need to burn those calories i just ate) And for others, once they have been treated, they never go back to their old ways. I think it depends on your genetics, your type of treatment, and your personality.

It depends on the individual and the severity of the disorder. The more calories are restricted and the more exercise is done, the faster a person will lose weight. Proper diet and exercise are better options to stay healthy, and also to keep the weight off and to avoid future health problems that an eating disorder can bring.
