you should have a 4 wheel alignment done
Wheel alignments require special equipment, but to do a rough alignment,(such as after replacing steering parts)to get you to the alignment shop, you can measure the back of the front tires at center, and the front of the front tire at center and ensure that the two measurements are the same. Then go straight to the shop. Driving with the alignment out wears tires and can result in loss of control.
How do you do a front-end alignment on a 1994 pontiac grand prix?
Probably worn or damaged front suspension and steering parts. A front end alignment will be necessary also. For your safety have the front end inspected by a trusted mechanic soon.
My 91 civic just had a front end alignment for $100. I suspect my mechanic is overpriced.
If you are trying to drop the front end 4 inches I would recommend replacing the stock front spindles with 3 inch drop spindles and replacing the front coil springs with 1 inch drop springs. If you cut the front springs to drop the front end 4 inches, proper alignment will be impossible.
