This is like asking, "IS Ford Better than Chevy?" It all depends on who you ask. I own rifles made by both manufactures and have no preference. It all up to the user. Things I look for in a rifle are how well it is made. I prefer wood over plastic. I like Metal parts. In the last few years I find more and more plastic creeping into the components. Like the Trigger guard. Gamo is known for having a sloppy trigger. But Diana has had some problems. So I suggest reading the reviews on (See the link Below) to see what other people say about the rifles before you purchase one. Also be aware that some models have been discontinued like the Gamo Hunter extreme 1250. It's a fine rifle but no longer made.

Both companies make fine air rifles. Your question is too general. It's like asking which is better Honda or Toyota without comparing two specific models. Crosman is a larger company and makes air rifles in all categories from inexpensive to costly. Gamo is a smaller company and makes air rifles in the medium to costly range. So trying to say one is better than the other is not a fair comparison. They both make fine air rifles. Now if you had two specific models then you could make a comparison.

This is like asking is Ford better than Chevy. It all really personal opinion. The Gamo cost a little more but both are rated at 1000 FPS. The XT has a wood stock the Gamo has a synthetic stock. So the choice is yours.
Are airsoft rifles better than airgun rifles?
That depends. If you are planning on killing rodents then the airgun is better. But if you are planning on shooting other people then the air-soft gun is better. -Jeff
What airgun should you get Gamo Big Cat or Crosman Quest 1000x?
They are both Excellent Rifles but I personally feel the Gamo has the edge on the Crosman. Both shoot lead pellets at 1000 FPS. Both will shoot the PBA pellets at 1200 FPS. The Gamo has a 38lbs cocking effort while the Crosman has a 31.5lbs cocking effort. The Crosman with scope is a little less expensive than the Gamo with scope. So it this isn't a big deal to you then I would go with the Gamo Big cat. I wouldn't say one is better then the other, I'd say they have both have qualities that meet different operational requirements. A bullpup can fit a longer barrel in a more compact size. I.E. it will present a shorter profile with a long barrel.

Both of these rifles are similar to each other. Here is the difference. The Viper cost about $30 more and is designed for hunting. The Shadow is designed for small game hunting and plinking targets. The Viper has a lifetime warranty and the Shadow has a 1 year warranty. The Viper is a little more accurate than the Shadow. Both fire at 750FPS, have a 2 stage trigger and are spring piston driven. So for $30 more you get a little better rifle in the Viper.
