Not that I know of. I've seen mostly anxiety, nervousness, and irritability from suddenly stopping SSRIs such as lexapro or wellbutrin. This answer is incorrect. Hair loss is a known side effect of Wellbutrin.

∙ 14y agoI cannot say for sure if wellbutrin causes hair loss...HOWEVER, I can say that I have had drastic hair loss/thinning over past few years and have been VERY stressed about the idea of losing my hair so rapidly (I am a 35 yr old female)
I have also been on wellbutrin for about 4 years...I had Never made the connection between my hair and the medication. In fact, I went to my doctor concerned about how much hair was falling out in my hands in the shower. He checked my thyroid, found it was fine and basically said it was just one of those things.
Im so frustrated becasue today I was doing some research about wellbutrin and I say post after post of people stating they have suffered hair loss related to the medication.
I am angry that my doctor would not have the sense to consider a possible link& inform me. Now my hair is very thin (its always been very fine, but I used to have A LOT of it...now, NOT SO MUCH!!) fine THIN hair is not the most desirable of combinations.
URGH, im so upset by this.
I hope that more research will be done and this can be brought out into the light so that patients and DOCTORS are more informed.

∙ 15y agoI was on 10mg of Lexapro for 7 months and yes my hair has become much thinner. I am off it now and experiencing hives ,dizziness, headaches and insomnia.
