Yes! M.D.3. a.k.a. Mercon/Dexron/III. MD3 regardless of brand is the new marketing title for dex III, Merc. III Automatic Transmission Fluid, Multivehicle ATF. It is suitable for almost all automatic transmissions on all cars and trucks built between 1980-2005 except where Mercon V, ATF+4 (1998 and newer Ford and Chrysler) are specified. Not for use in CVT transmissions. Not for use in 2005 or newer GM and most other cars and trucks. I hope that clarifies the new marketing hype title -travis, Master ASE certified automotive technician, Coloradosprings,CO

ATF Z-1 is not the same as Dexron III. Z-1 is a Honda specific fluid that is manufactured only for Honda transmissions. There are similarities in makeup of the two products, but the Dexron III will not meet the same performance criteria as the Z-1. Honda manufactures their own transmissions and for this reason, has developed their own ATF. For more information, contact your local Honda dealer.
Better or not, really isn't the question. Dexron-II has been replaced by Dexron-III. Any transmission that used Dexron-II can now use Dexron-III. Fluids labeled Dexron-III/Mercon are also acceptable.
Use Dexron III or IV ATF. IV is synthetic ATF
dexron III should work fine
