I doubt it. I had Verizon wireless from 2006-2008 and it would charge separate fees for texting and instant messaging. I doubt they have changed it.
No. Moble Messaging is not free. It is like a text message. Every IM you receive and text cost depending on your texting plan. But if you have unlimited texting then it count in unlimited texting and you will not pay more in your phone bills.

Hello there! Unlimited texting is for only texting only. However, if that does include unlimited picture and video, than IM is unlimited is free as well. Pictures, videos, and IM use just a tiny bit of internet to send/recieve. Check your plan/carrier for further assistance or to see if you have that option.
