Actually, there is a huge debate on exactly how much alcohol it would take for an infant to be born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. One occasional, average-sized glass of wine is considered acceptable in places like France, and no birth defects have ever been reported due to limited alcohol consumption. However, I would not take my advice as an "ok" to drink wine in any way, it is the expectant parent's decision as to decide how much alcohol will affect them while carrying.
Here in Sweden we talk about half a glass of wine and then it's important to remember that it's the normal glass, not the bigger ones so many have today. But that's it, not other alcohol.
