In most municipalities it would be classified a misdemeanor what level would depend upon damages done to the vehicle. Besides the possibility of minor criminal charge the person who owns the vehicle has the option to bring a civil suit for damages against the person(s) or if the offenders are minors against their parents.

I think that it could be considered a criminal act of assualt, especially if the person was hit and hurt, or iunjuried and needed medical attention. They could press charges or the DA might take the case out of their hands. The charges could increase depending on the injuries and the circumstances of the egging. Also the victim of the act and the behavior of the person charged would make a difference to the type of charges and the number of those charges.

The Concurrence Requirement means that the criminal act must be accompanied by an equally criminal mind. Meaning you need both "actus reus" and "mens rea" for it to be a criminal act. So if you have someone throw a brick through a window and the glass shatters and kills someone, they wont be charged for murder because it was not his intent on killing that person.
