I am impressed that you even asked this question and you deserve a medal! No, unless you smother them with affection. Just being there through the good and bad times and listening to what each other has to say and trying to resolve any problems is a MUST! Remembering each other's special events such as birthdays, even an anniversary on the day you met even if you are single. Having fun! Surrounding yourself with good friends who make you laugh and you both have a good time with. This is the "stuff" that makes a good relationship. My husband and I practice good communication skills and do all the above and have been married for 34 years and I've known him almost 39 years. We've had our problems, but nothing we couldn't handle. It's great to go through life with a good partner because you have the feeling ALWAYS that you can beat anything the world has to dish out to you.

depends on the relationship yall have agreed upon ...... it is really an opinion and based on circumstance .... if it is something that would cause yall to fight or end the relationship then , in my opinion, it is better to get it out in the open then keep it locked up ... the quicker he knows the longer he has to get over or understand it.... plus it could be a big step in the relationship ... it could show him that you trust him or show that you are honest * You know, i say if its not a serious then no its not bad, when or if you become serious then tell the big secret.
