Is it a good idea to go back to school for an art degree after graduating with an engineering degree?

I am currently a mechanical engineering major student at Stony Brook university going into my third year. While taking the engineering classes for my major, I have also been taking various art classes. It's midway into my third year here as an Mech major, but I've realized that along with pursuing an engineering degree, I also innately want to pursue my artistic interests. I don't know what to do right now. I thought about transferring out and switching my major entirely but I also really want to finish my Mech degree. I also don't want to switch out because I have already invested 2 1/2 years into Mech and I don't want that to go to waste. I've also been looking into going back to school again for a different degree but nothing has provided me with a solid answer with my case specifically. Any suggestions on what I should do?

You have to go back and study mechatronics for that.

Your school should be talking to your parents if you are not graduating from middle school to high school. It often takes more than one failed class to be held back.

if you are not smart enough to pass the end of school test then you are held back a year and then you have to do it again and again until you get it right! :o)

There is no institution in Pakistan that offers BS degree in Nuclear Engineering...There is two for MS degree and their names are Pakistan institute of applied sciences islamabad and Kanupp....so you ll have to get a BS degree from any other country and come back to Pakistan if you want and get MS degree from here.but its not so advanced so its better you take to abroad .warm wishes

* You worked hard, passed and are graduating from that course, so it's appropriate to send out a graduation announcement. Some people may get this degree and then work, travel, go back to university and earn a higher degree.

I own and drive my own monster truck. I have gone through high school, and went to college. I have a Associate Degree in English and a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Most drivers would say that college courses in Engineering or Mathematics is important to have. Also, take auto classes in high school if they are offered in your school. If they aren't take some courses at a Community College while you're earning your degree. Make sure that you can support yourself with a steady back-up career. Racing can be a volitile career, with money being spent hand over fist from time to time. Remember, to follow your dreams and live life.

NO, it will not. I went to school for medical assistant, AND worked for the DoD, I have a FEDERAL security clearance and me not graduating HS did not show up on a Federal back ground check.

Sure you can find a job. Your skills, experience and locale will determine what type of job. You would most likely be able to secure a technician's job and then you could go back to school PT and get a 4 year degree. Working in the field will give you a better idea of what you would like to specialize in for a higher degree.
