Is it a leak in your brake line if your brake light came on and went off after it was topped off then happened again a few days later and how much to fix?

It is either a brake line or the master cylinder or a wheel cylinder/caliper. Park on a clean dry surface. Look under the car for wet patches on the ground, especially behind the wheels, it may indicate where the fault is. If the surface remains dry then it is likely to be the master cylinder/servo. It is difficult to say what the cost will be because of the disparate cost of the individual parts. Having said that, the repair could be around $300. But you must get it seen to straight away, it is not safe to drive.
