It's not that one in better than the other, it's just that they are slightly different in approach to the field. The differences - in brief - are indicated below.

The Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) has a broader scope, with a strong emphasis on the humanities, theoretical and general knowledge in a recognized discipline, interdisciplinary field, or of a professional study.

The Bachelor of Science degree (BS) is more of a focused approach with a science base to include a balance of liberal arts, technological knowledge, math and computer oriented skills, and practical skills needed for a particular discipline within the field.

Can a graduate without psychology do master in psychology?

The college/university may require you to go back and take undergrad classes in psychology before grad work. Since you didn't do a BA/BS in psychology you wouldn't have some of the foundation classes required for grad work.

What is the impact for a BA and BS in Psychology degree holder in finding a job?

Unfortunately in most states, finding a job with a 4 year degree in psychology, whether BS or BA, isn't always easy and is rarely lucrative if you want to be in the psychology field. If a person is really wanted a job in the psych field, it is often necessary to accept positions for which they are underpayed and overqualified. Most people need to go on to get a graduate degree to work in the behavioral sciences fields.

What are the differences between a BA and a BS in Psychology?

The only difference would be some of the electives and general education requirements. BA degrees usually have a foreign language requirement. You probably would have to take more math, sciences, and computer classes (and less language and social science classes) with a BS. When I was looking at BA/BS programs, I noticed social science programs that had a BS made students take more statistics classes and more biology/chemistry classes. They also had to take neuro-psychology and study the brain/brain chemcials in depth. However, these classes will help better prepare you for graduate school. If you want to take the Social Psychology route, then a BA would be fine... otherwise, go for the BS. Generally, BA degrees require a specific amount of foreign language classes in order to graduate. In contrast, you usually have to take more reasoning classes ( i.e. math or philosophy) to graduate with a BS. It depends on the institution and the psychology department within the school as to which focus they prefer. The BA has a broader scope, with a strong emphasis on the humanities, theoretical and general knowledge in a recognized discipline, interdisciplinary field, or of a professional study. The BS is more of a focused approach with a science base to include a balance of liberal arts, technological knowledge, math and computer oriented skills, and practical skills needed for a particular discipline within the field

How do you get a bachelors to go to law school with a GED?

Apply to a college that awards BS/BA degrees, or get an associates degree from a junior college ( maintain a high GPA) and then apply to a school that offers BS/BA degrees. Complete the requirements for a BS/BA, acquire a degree. (make sure to keep your GPA high) Take the LSAT( study/take a review course for this). Apply to law schools. Good luck.

What is the path for becoming a radiologist?

If you have a BA and want to get a BS in something else do you have to go to grad school?

The bachelor of arts (BA) and the bachelor in science (BS) are both undergraduate degree programs. The master's and doctorate are graduate degrees. You can take a second bachelor's degree if you like, but you will still be in an undergraduate degree program. So, you would not go to graduate school for the second degree.

What can you do with a BS Biology BA Psychology technical writing experience and research assistant experience?

You can go into research. A lot of places require only a bachelors and minimal experience to become a level one research assistant. It can pay anywhere from 11 to 16 dollars a hour. Grad school is a good options too but there are others. You could become a genetic counselor...it's a two year masters degree but if you have both the BS in bio and BA in psych it sounds right up your alley!
