The adjustments on the vents are there to help you balance your system. They are for adjusting the flow of air into a single rooms. If the system is already fairly well balanced they should be left as open as possible for maximum efficiency.
While running your air conditioner, the vents should be closed so that warm air from out side do not enter into the room, which may cause damage to the machine in the long run and it will fetch more time to cool the room.
If dust is coming from your air conditioner, you did not put in a filter. You will ruin your air conditioner running it without a filter. Also, the vents will get dusty. You need to clean them.
If central air conditioner turns on but is not blowing through the vents, check the filter. If it is dirty, change it. Change the thermostat into cool, this will defrost the air conditioner.
The air of your Chevy trailblazer 2004 blow out of the front vents when the air conditioner is on because the air condition is faulty and it needs repair.
This may be a vacuum problem not an electrical problem. Determine if you hear the fan running? When you accelerate the engine vacuum is reduced and the heater/ AC door diverts to floor instead of upper vents.
Check your furnace fan. The air conditioner unit can be running but the air circulation is usually done with the fan on the furnace. If you have a fan switch on the thermostat, check to see if it is in the auto position. If it has the settings on/auto/off, you can switch it to the on position and see if you get any air movement then. If not, you could have a broken belt.
Vacuum leak

An air conditioner evaporator is the part of the a/c system that the heat in your car transfers to causing cool air to blow from your vents. The blower is in front of it and it sucks air from the inside of your car and across the evaporator then blows out your vents.
Coming out of the vents around 43 degrees
It doesn't have to be if you close the vents and turn it down to a warmer temperature.
Check for a vacuum leak either under the dash or under the hood Check the operation of the vacuum operated motors Check the operation of the selector switch Check to see if evaporator is partially plugged or blocked
