Yes, you should be fine. However, please consider that Klonapin is highly addictive and habit forming. Are you taking these medications for a psychiatric disorder? Be careful,again. Not only with the Klonapin, but Seroquel and Lamictal will knock you out, and numb you out. No way to live life. These medications are meant to be taken for a short period of time, unless you are severely schizophrenic. If you do take them for a long period of time you may develop Tardive Dyskenesia. And it's chronic. Good luck...

∙ 11y agoyes. my doctor has me on 10mg of ambien and 1mg of klonopin. i have a high tolerance however and that amount does not work for me.
They are similar medications that both can cause sedation. While it may be reasonable to prescribe them together care should be taken. You certainly should not mix them without a doctor's supervision.

∙ 12y agoThe right person to answer this question would be the doctor prescribing these medications as they affect people differently. My advice though, is that is it relatively safe to take these together AS LONG AS YOU TAKE RECOMMENDED DOSAGE. I've done it on a several occasions where I've taken my Seroquel to go to sleep and then I have an anxiety attack and I needed my Klonopin to take care of that as well. Just make sure you don't drive, you'll be extremely sleeping taking those together. Be safe.

∙ 11y agoI take 800mg seroquel,300mg trazadone,600mg neurontin,100mg vistiril,and 10mg ambien all at bedtime and it is fine for me but i worked my way up to it over 2 weeks and that is the way my dr perscribed it. The only thing to do is take it exactly as your dr says its the only safe thing to do and if it feels like its too much tell your dr and he/she will adjust your dose to a comfortable dose.

I don't know if this helps but I am a 41yo man and i am prescribed Klonopin and Seroquel (Klonopin is about the same drug as Valium, same family but i think klonopin is a little stronger) anyway I take them both at the same time in the morning (1mg Klonopin, 300mg Seroquel) and at night (2mg Klonopin, 300mg Seroquel). I also take 1mg twice during the day. I have no problem with it except the Seroquel makes me drowsy and hungry. My Dx is Bi-polar schizo-affective and general anxiety disorder. Hope this helps.

Im schizophrenic and take seroquel and clonazapam...AKA Klonapin.. clonazapam is just the generic form of it..Also while your on these 2 medications. DO Not Drink ALchohol....ive ended up in the hospital 2-3 times because of overdose because alchohol Intensifies the medications. I had to learn the hard way..anyways hope this helps.
