Absolutely. If the temperature is BELOW 30 degrees F, you run the strong risk of burning your house down. I repeat, DO NOT use your indoor fireplace if it is colder than 30 degrees.
As a former firefighter that inspected chimneys; wood stoves; etc., fireplaces have been around a very long time in all types of weather and temperatures. The best way to use a cold chimney is to heat it slowly with a small fire. Cold chimneys will crack when heated too quickly. This is extremely dangerous. First and most important, have the chimney and fireplace checked by a professional before each season every year. Fireplaces are not very heat efficient. When not in use they bring in the cold.
Yes. The wind can suck more heat up the chimney and suck more cold air into the house. I bet you didn't realized that a fireplace in cold weather has to draw cold air from the outside by some means into the house to feed the fireplace updraft. Go figger!
NO, NO, NO, NO... EVER.
Who in there right mind would ever paint a fieldstone fireplace in the first place?
yes, have u ever seen that they are extremely brittle?
It shouldn't. If its really cold in the room or where ever, you might be seeing a vapor like when you see your breath outside on a cold day.
No dog should ever be left outside at all times, regardless of the weather. Dogs are domesticated animals and need to have access to indoor shelter from the weather.
yes they can get to cold or too hot ..they could get sick just like people do so don't let them get to cold or to hot just like people do to your pet rat as you would have done to you.
Did you ever take a cold bottle of coke out of the refrigerator on a hot summer day? Did you ever leave that same bottle of coke on the counter? What did you notice? You noticed water dropplets forming on the outside of the bottle. That is "condensation" when something cold meets something warm. If you go outside on a very cold winter day and breath...your breath comes out looking like steam...that is condensation. When you exhale on a cold window the water dropplets that form on the window - that is condensation

To communicate where ever you go..outside inside and where ever there is service and also when there is no service. Ever notice on a humid day how water drops form on the outside of a cold glass of beer? If you cool down humid air the water content turns to liquid. Cold refrigeration lines do the same thing. Water outside your AC system has no connection to the inside of your dryer/accumulator/tin can thingy.
never ever ever!
