Presuming that you're referring to dining etiquette in Brazil, it is customary for diners to always keep their hands above the table, however, not your elbows. Alternatively, you may place your wrists on the edge of the table.
Brazil follows closely etiquette styles of the European Continent. There remains a style and grace to social etiquette which is important to understand in a dining environment, especially at someone's home.
This can become particularly challenging for americans where many of the social graces have either subsided or changed dramatically. If you're familiar with the social graces of dining in the United Kingdom, including the holding and usage of cutlery, then you should have little troubles. However, if your dining style may be of a more 'relaxed' nature, it may be advisable to seek a professional course in advance, particularly if you have an important business contract balancing on your ability to be accepted by your Brazilian guests.
use a napkin no burping no elbows on table eat with mouth closed
No elbows on the table, for sure.
Dining etiquette refers to how a person handles themselves at the table. It can be anything from not having your elbows on the table, to holding your fork properly, and which fork and spoon to use with your salad and soup.
Using "elbows" in self-defense may result in not needing "help". Placing "elbows" on the table during a meal doesn't mean you won't get "helped" (served) . . . it's just deemed to be bad manners in some places. Belly-crawling with "elbows" is a good way to keep a low profile . . . definitely "helps".
NO.
We are not sure what you mean by the question, but good manners are rarely out of place.
Jimmy has really good table manners. Saying thank you is really good manners. Bob burped and didn't say parden that is NOT good manners! hope these Sentences help you LOL! :D
well, i don't know where it came from, but when people put their elbows on the table it makes them have bad posture. so as long as you keep your elbows off the table, it doesn't necessarily mean you will have good posture, it just helps it.
Table manners vary from culture to culture and change over time.
Someone with poor table manners is usually perceived [rightly or wrongly ] as uncouth, sloppy and/or selfish and careless in other areas of life. Poor table manners can be a WORST first impression.having good table manners is extremely important because it not only shows that you are offering other people respect, but it also shows that you are a respectable person yourself. some people don't expect much of others' table manners, whereas different people may take them quite seriously and consider it a turn-off if you don't pay attention to that ettiquette. ultimately it is up to you to use table manners or not, but remember that it shows respect, which will earn you respect in return.
If you have children, you want to have good table manners so they will act like you. Table manners will make you look good and it is just proper to do.
