NO! It's feckin' easy. Remove plastic on steering column so you can get at the ignition. Watch for the little white and black plastic pieces holding it on. Once you have that off there should be a SMALL hole in the side of your ignition cylinder. Push something in there (small screwdriver, nail punch, whatever) and it should come right out Take it along with your new one to a locksmith if you want it rekeyed. You can start your runner with the cylinder out by using a pair of needle-nose and common sense. I did it in 20 min with a broken leg in Texas heat. ITS EASY.

You can change your 1995 Chevrolet ignition switch by removing the ring at the top of the ignition switch. Slide the ignition switch out and remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.

Remove the wiring harness from your 1995 Chevy Blazer ignition control module. Remove the ignition control module retaining screws. Reverse the process to install your new ignition control module.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the ignition coils. Remove the ignition control module that was under the coils, and replace it.
