In most states, no. A few states do prohibit some species or all species of snapping turtle from being kept as pets. They are most commonly prohibited in states where they are not naturally occurring, due to fear that pet owners will tire of them and release them into the environment. This fear is probably justified - snapping turtles can grow quite large, must be handled with great care, and require significant effort and expense to maintain, which makes them poor pets, generally.
If you are in doubt whether snapping turtles are legal in your state and don't want to pay a lawyer to look it up, you might contact a seller. They often know which states allow snapping turtles as pets or not.
The snapping turtle will try to attack or kill the box turtle. Some times even eat the box turtle
Snapping turtles don't care much for worms. They will do well with goldfish. You may need to coax it into taking a bite by flicking it on the nose with the fish. Keep your fingers away from its mouth because even a baby snapping turtle can take a painfully large chunk out of you.
Not right away. once the snapping turtle exceeds 5 inches, their bite starts to hurt so you should probably separate the two turtles at that point. Snapping turtles also get very large compared to most turtles so when the snapping turtle gets to be an adult it gets aggressive towards most things.Even as a young snapper they still have a powerful bite! As witnessed, it's safe to say that this is not recommended. The turtles are very curious to movement, any movement of any time for that matter. They think it is food and will likely bite the other turtle. Plus, in the wild majority of snapper's diets are other turtles!and don't always trust wikianswers they lie and this might not even be the real answer i was allowed to change it and this isn't even real!!!
What you should do, is just be paitent and wait. eventualy, the thing your feeding your snapper will die,(if not already dead), or the snapper will eat it. while i writing this, I'm looking ant my snapper and a tadpole i just cought for him , and i am dying to see how he'll eat it or how he'll kill it. All he's doing is sitting on top of it. BORING!!!!!
No, they will get nippy and mad. They might bite or even kill the other turtles.
Snapping turtles will eat anything they can catch. They often eat baby geese and ducks, pulling them underwater until they drown. They also eat fish. Snapping turtles have very powerful jaws, and can even snap off one of your fingers if you get too close. I saw a full grown Canada goose pulled under and drowned at my local lake. Unless it was Nessie, the only culprit could be the watermelon sized snapper that lives there. Frightening, but as my friend says:"turtle's gotta eat".
Of course stupid, its a turtle NO, not often. Snapping turtles are on of few turtles that do not bask regularly. They are also not good swimmers, they dwell in the muddy bottom of ponds, lakes, and rivers. They are my favorite animals and I've done alot of research. I have also had them all my life, I even got a tattoo of Slash from Tmnt.
From my experiance, no, I've even had adult painted turtles kill baby snapping turtles, I reccomend you keep them separate

it is not normal. got to the pet store and ask them whats wrong. make sure to take your baby turtle. Good luck. tell the turtle i like his mysterious ways.
He probably would but he mainly helps farmers clear their ponds of the nuisance snapping turtles - Soft shells are a river and creek turtle and generally not found in man made ponds. They can move extremely quickly in water or on land. In fact, they are probably the fastest turtles on land and much harder to catch than a snapping turtle - believe it or not they are even more vicious than a snapper and will even kill fish after they are gorged leaving them to rot. I doubt that even in a crystal clear pond the turtleman would be able to keep up with one and catch it without a net as there is no long tail to grab.
?...if you dont know then dont ask here! its not great this answer is better then the one you got from the other person.....they didnt even update it.=[
