We (as in CPS Technicians) advise parents all the time to NOT purchase a used seat. They may be damaged, missing parts, recalled, outdated, been in a crash and many other things. You may think your seat is fine, but how does the person purchasing it from you know that? Are they willing to trust their child's life with a strangers word? What I recommend you do is give/sell it to a friend or someone that would trust you with their child's life, or donate it to a womens shelter. This is provided the seat is a safe seat, ie... It's never been in a crash, its not older then 6 years, it has all the parts and the instruction manual, there is no stress marks in the plastic, the harness is complete with no fraying, etc...
