Ya i have before but that's a little overkill if your going varmet hunting but if its deer its not the best round for deer but you can definitely use it to hunt but idk if its legal... I live in Virginia, and here, it's not legal to hunt deer with anything under .23 caliber (so no .223.) However, ARs can be used in many areas for squirrels, groundhogs, and other varmints. It is faster than most .22 rifles, but hits with more power and reasonable accuracy. Also, if you want, you can buy upper recievers in higher calibers (from .243 to .50 BMG) and hunt with those.
Don't Think You Are allowed 2 With Like The High Tech Sniper Rifles Or Any Automatic Rifles

Hunting laws vary country to country, state to state. Colorado has a maximum number of shots allowed. Virginia has a minimum bullet size. Most states do not permit machineguns for hunting. Pennsylvania does not permit semi-automatic rifles for deer hunting. The answer is really that it depends on where you are, and the laws of that place.
