As far as I can tell, it is not illegal to park a mobile home on the street, providing you comply with certain rules (no parking trailer unless there is a vehicle attached capable of towing it; no leaving trailer unlocked while parked; no parking overnight on a residential street).
However, it IS illegal to actually LIVE in a mobile home that is parked on a public street in New York City.
You must rent space at a mobile home park that has facilities for running water, electricity and waste disposal.
